Summary

“The Spoiled Child” by Sinéad de Valera tells the story of Aisling. She is the spoiled daughter of a rich Irish family and grows up having all her wishes indulged by her parents. Her aunt Ina is the only one who sees the negative effects of the parents’ spoiling when Aisling offends and scolds her servants unnecessarily. Aisling’s best friend is Ronan, the only son of a neighbouring rich family.

When they grow up, Ronan wants to marry Aisling, but the girl prefers to continue to be spoiled by her parents.
