Summary

The short story presents Pia and her road home on her fortieth birthday. She is expected home by her husband, Daniel, who wants to take her out to a restaurant to celebrate. Although it is late September, the heat is almost unbearable. In her warmed car, Pia turns on the radio and listens to an interesting piece of news: scientists state that neutrinos, particles that pass through the human body, have surpassed the speed of light. This piece of news makes Pia think about how great it would feel to be able to bend time - just like neutrinos - and to return to the past.
