Summary

The short story “You Are Here” by Dana Miltins tells of a couple currently living in a caravan in the Australien desert. The man moves there first, wanting to be alone. He works night shifts as a security officer. The woman wants to have a baby with him, so she surprises him by arriving unannounced, hoping it will be romantic. 

However, the man is not happy to see her, and he secretly does not want to have any more children, since he already has two from a previous relationship and does not interact with them. After the woman arrives, she and the man are unable to connect, partly because the man sleeps all day, then goes to work at night.
