Interpretation

The fascination with Franz Kafka's novel  The Trial certainly stems from the imprecision of the text. There are many ways to understand the novel. Various questions have to be asked and answered. For example, what does K.'s arrest mean for the character and what does it represent in its essence in general? What is the role of the court and how can we understand it when we do not have direct contact with it?

The most fundamental question is, of course, that of K.'s guilt. Since it is never openly stated what it consists of, interpretations are offered here that range from existential, religious, and socio-critical to political, and biographical. The role of the women from the novel must also be included in an accurate analysis. These questions are answered in detail in this interpretation, so that you can have a a broad understanding of this difficult text.
