The uncle

K.'s uncle appears in the novel The Trial by Franz Kafka. He is called Albert and Karl. The uncle is the only member of K.'s family who has some influence over the events. The uncle is apparently wealthy, for he is "a small landowner from the country" (The Uncle, 0%). He wears a "crushed panama" hat (The Uncle, 0%) and rarely visits the city. During these visits, he is "always in a hurry" (The Uncle, 0%), since it is usually only a "one day" stay (The Uncle, 0%). In this short time, the uncle always wants to be able to "do everything he had planned" (The Uncle, 0%). The Uncle is a father figure for K., because he is his "former ward" (The Uncle, 0%).
