Characters
As the first sentence of the novel suggests, Josef K. is the main character in the novel The Trial by Franz Kafka. His detailed characterization shows readers his development and his deep contradictions.
With K. as the central figure, Kafka has created a complex web of characters. We will have a look at Leni and Erna, as well as at the lawyer Huld, Titorelli and the uncle. We will also discuss Block and the examining magistrate.
