Text perspective

Apart from the slightly outdated references to mixtapes and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Stephen Chbosky’s novel, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, centers on universal themes which are still relevant today. Here are a couple of suggestions for texts you could relate Chbosky’s novel to.

High Fidelity (1995)

Although Nick Hornby’s novel features a 35-year-old as its main character, the novel holds many similarities to The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
