The short story “Tell the Women We’re Going” by Raymond Carver focuses on two men, Bill Jamison and Jerry Roberts, who are childhood friends. The two used to share everything in high school, even dating the same girls. Then Jerry gets married to Carol, a girl Bill dated as well.
