Tristan Harris uses all three forms of appeal in his talk “How a handful of tech companies control billions of minds every day”. 

Logos

Harris builds logos when he offers specific examples that illustrate his point of view. When he talks about how easily people are manipulated to spend more time online, he provides the example of YouTube, Netflix, and Facebook:

YouTube wants to maximize how much time you spend. And so what do they do? They autoplay the next video (…) Well, if you’re Netflix, you look at that and say, well, that’s shrinking my market share, so I’m going to autoplay the next episode. But then if you’re Facebook, you say, well no, that’s shrinking all of my market share, so now I have to autoplay all the videos in the newsfeed before waiting for you to click play. (ll. 21-16)
