Characters

The characters in the short story “Son of Satan” by Charles Bukowski are the narrator, his two friends Hass and Morgan, their victim Simpson, and the narrator’s father.  The narrator is the main character and all events are seen from his point of view. The other characters are relevant for their interactions with the narrator.

The story is centered on two conflicts. The first is between the narrator’s gang (of whom the narrator is the leader) and Simpson. This will lead to the conflict between the narrator and his father.
