Summary

In “Say You” by Sara Collins, Cuban refugees start arriving by boat on an island between Cuba and the US. The girls on the island are attracted to them and start having relationships with them. Jewel Remedios is the first girl to date one of them, a man named Abel. Gradually all the other girls begin seeing Cuban boys. The boys tell the girls stories about Cuba and how they made boats illegally to flee their country.

Jewel has sex with Abel and soon begins to ask him to commit himself. However, Abel refuses to make any promises, claiming he has nothing to offer as a refugee.
