Robinson Meyer begins his article “The Righteous Anger of the Parkland Shooting’s Teen Survivors” by arguing that that the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High was different from others because it was the deadliest shooting in a high school and because it was widely reported on social media by teen survivors.

The writer shows that the teenagers involved became political activists for gun control in the US by giving examples of tweets posted by survivors and statements they made on TV. The teenagers criticised politicians and President Trump for failing to acknowledge that one of the causes of mass shootings was the lack of gun control.
