The sender of the article “My Best Friend Died by Suicide. I Wish I Had Seen the Warning Signs” is Daniel Magruder, a lieutenant colonel who serves in the US Air Force. The event that inspired him to write the article was the suicide of his friend and fellow soldier Neil Landsberg.
