Miles' love

Before Alaska's death

The novel Looking for Alaska by John Green is about first love and the death of a loved one. Miles is fascinated by Alaska from the first moment and falls in love with her. Later, he has to cope and deal with her death.

Miles is fascinated by Alaska's impulsive and outspoken nature. He finds her very attractive, and also quickly realizes that she is intelligent. They can have a good conversation and he finds what she has to say and what she thinks interesting. On the other hand, he is overwhelmed by her unpredictability and her mysterious side. He ultimately doesn't know much about her because she doesn't reveal much about herself (see Characters).
