Style of language

In his Inaugural Address, John F. Kennedy uses formal language, which mirrors the formal context of the speech. When it comes to sentence structure, Kennedy uses middle-length and long sentences. This stylistic choice makes it easier for Kennedy to include all his thoughts on a particular matter in a single, longer sentence, like in the following example:

To those people in the huts and villages of half the globe struggling to break the bonds of mass misery, we pledge our best efforts to help them hel...
