When you analyze George W. Bush’s 9/11 Address to the Nation, you should also consider those statements that are particularly interesting or controversial.

For example, it could be interesting to debate Bush’s statement that the US is an example for the rest of the world: “the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world.” (ll. 20). You could argue that this statement is exaggerated, since many other countries have found long-lasting solutions to various issues that the US is still confronting today, such as income inequality, racism, unemployment, drug use, homelessness, etc. At the same time, the US is known for its remarkable diversity, as people from all over the world come to the US to access opportunities that their countries do not offer, which can justify Bush...
