Vision of the future

Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 is clearly a vision of the future. To an astonishing extent, the author literally foresaw technical developments of the future. Here are a few examples:

- An earpiece for receiving and transmitting, like Faber's design, is now part of everyday life.

- Bank employees have been replaced in the story by robots so that money can also be dispensed at night. ATMs were a vision of the future back then and have become a matter of course today.

- In Fahrenheit 451, the mechanical tracking dog represents an effective killing machine that can sniff out anyone's tracks for miles and eliminate its target quickly and cruelly. This vision of using robots as killing machines has also already become largely real, with sophisticated robots and unmanned dron...
