Comment: Possible consequences of the plan

It is important to acknowledge the fact that every plan, once implemented, will have several positive or negative consequences. Since the presentation of “America’s Clean Power Plan”, there have been numerous reactions and discussions regarding the positive and negative consequences of the plan.

Still, when analyzing the consequences of the Clean Power Plan, it is important to look at the bigger picture. We must ask ourselves what the consequences will be for the American business life. In what follows, we will outline some of those consequences:

  • Higher electricity bills
  • Economical drop in several states
  • Smarter and more sustainable practices

As you will notice, they can be either positive or negative.

Higher electricity bills

Once the Clean Power Plan is implemented, the carbon emissions will most likely be reduced to a minimum. This automatically means using electricity instead of coal.
