Summary
Tarsem Singh is a young unemployed university graduate who lives with his parents and spends Tuesdays at the employment office and at a cinema called Hollywood. One Tuesday, during a “Star Trek” screening, he notices a beautiful Asian girl whom he decides to approach after the movie. The two of them have a coffee together and the girl, Sae, tells him that she is an artist on a summer course in London. Tarsem tells her that he always wanted to write and become a poet and Sae asks him to send her a poem by email in exchange for another date. Tarsem shares the whole story with his friend, Manny, just as Sae calls him and invites him out.
Saturday, the young man prepares for his date as his mother questions him. While out with Sae, the two talk about his poem, the condition of the artist and Sae’s past. The woman then invites him to her studio where she shows him her drawings. The two make love and Tarsem returns home to be scolded by his mother and mocked by his father. He only sees Sae once more before she leaves London, yet the magic between them seems to b...
