Works in the same genre
For other Postmodernist work, we recommend that you also read “Baglady” by A. S. Byatt (Flux, pp. 9) which follows the wife of a company director on a business trip in an Eastern country together with the wives of other directors as they visit a mall. The woman feels out of place and gets lost and robbed until a police officer from the mall takes her for a homeless person. The story is at the boundary between dream and reality, leaving readers to wonder about it.
