Literary perspective

The short story “Another Community” by Rasipuram Krishnaswamy Narayan belongs to the modernist movement in literature. Modernist stories tend to explore issues that can be seen in real life, such as important historical events. In “Another Community”, the author explores the tension between Indians and Pakistanis right before the beginning of the Indo-Pakistani war of 1947.
