Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes is a main character in the story “A Scandal in Bohemia” by Arthur Conan Doyle. He is a detective who solves cases for people who enlist his services, with the help of Doctor Watson, his partner and best friend. 

Sherlock Holmes is a good observer and thinker. According to Watson, he has a “cold, precise, but admirably balanced mind”. His ability to notice details and make correct deductions based on those details is highlighted when he deduces all the circumstances in Watson’s new life, even though they have not seen each other for some time. Similarly, he is also able to see through the disguise of the King of Bohemia and realize who he is. 

When Holmes explains his process of deduction, Watson recognizes that both the facts, as well as the conclusion...
