Her er vores study guide om den økonomiske krise i USA. Her vil vi sætte fokus på de udfordringer, som både virksomheder og ansøgere står over for på jobmarkedet i USA. Vi ser også på, hvordan virksomheder, politikere, uddannelsesinstitutioner og arbejdsløse kan medvirke til at forbedre situationen.

Emnet er også udgangspunkt for A-opgaven til eksamen i skriftlig Engelsk A på HHX fra den 19. august 2013. Bemærk, at vi i denne study guide ikke besvarer B-opgaven.

To end a six-week special course on The Economic Crisis in the US, your college has arranged a conference for all students. As a student of social science you have studied the effects of the present economic crisis on business and society. You prepare a manuscript for a speech.
In the speech you account for the challenges faced by companies trying to hire labour and by young graduates applying for jobs. You comment on how e.g. companies, politicians, educational institutions and jobless people may contribute to improving the job situation.
Write the manuscript in English.
