New environments can be both an adventure and a challenge. As seen in “New Boy”, it is not always easy to fit in, especially as a child. Joseph is haunted by memories of his life in his home country and he is also taunted by the bullying of Christian. However, in spite of the rough start, the end of the film is more positive. Instead of keeping a grudge against the two Irish boys, Joseph dismisses the conflict through laughter.
